How-To: Save a text document in "HTML" format - OpenOffice.org Writer
- To save your document in the Writer "html" format, first click here on "File."
- Then, on the menu that opens, click on the option "Save As..."
- The "Save As" window should open. Look for the "Save as Type" field and click on its down arrow here.
- Afterwards, a list of file types should appear. Click on the option "HTML Document (OpenOffice.org Writer)(.html)"
- Good. Once we have chosen the file type, just click on the file name field here and type in the file name you want for the document.
- Once you're done, click on "Save."
- A dialogue window may open informing you that some formatting and content may not be saved using the Writer html format. To save the document in that format though, you have to click on "Yes."
- Great! We have saved the document in the Writer "html" format. Congratulations!
