How-To: Save a text document in Rich Text format - OpenOffice.org Writer
- To save a text document in rich text format, first click here on "File."
- Then, on the menu that opens, click on the option "Save As..."
- The "Save As" window should open. Now, click here on the down arrow for the field "Save as type."
- Afterwards, a list of file types should appear. Click on the option "Rich Text Format (.rtf)"
- Good! Now, type in the file name you want for the document here. Once you are done, click on "Save"
- A dialogue window should open informing you that some formatting and content may not be saved in the format we chose. To save it in rich text format though, we must risk it. So click on "Yes."
- Great! We have saved the document in rich text format. Congratulations!
